Surprise!
There was a surprise earthquake the other night! It was a 5 and almost straight under us. I was in the house alone and dad was outside in the garage when it struck. I fell over on the way to the door after 3 seconds of screaming. I have a bump on my head. OUCH... It was followed by a 4 then a 4.5 the following morning. The after-shocks are still making people get the skitters and making them feel frustrated. No one can get enough sleep.
New haircut
I got a new haircut yesterday. I now have blonde streaks through my hair. My hair is shoulder-lengh and layered. I got a fringe too. Its like a side fringe apart from it goes a bit further across my forehead. I luurve it
After-Shocks
The after-shocks are still continuing with 18 just today. That's 1525 since the big one. Eeeeek... If this had happened going into Winter everyone's spirits would be down even more. We went to the mall yesterday and no one was smiling. Everyone are just like robots.

Canterbury Earthquake
The Canterbury Earthquake hit at 4:35am on Saturday. As this was my first earthquake I thought it little so I stayed in bed. Then Dad comes screaming into my room to get out. So I jump out of bed and run outside. Unfortunately, Mum forgot that the door looks automatically when you shut it. We got locked out. Luckily mum had left the Garage unlocked and we found some warm clothes and got the car out. We stayed in the car until daylight when dad managed to find the window unlocked. he climbed in and unlocked the door. The damage inside was very slight as I look back. Only the pantry had opened and everything had poored out onto the floor. The light shade had smashed. My room was the worst. It has cracks up the walls and the wall paper is crumpled. The bed is covered in plaster and my Great Great Grandmothers jewelery box was broken. School has been closed until Monday as the after shocks seem to be earthquakes on their own. But no casualties yet so hopefully none to come.

Black and White
Today was black and white mufti to support the All Blacks although all the money raised goes to the SPCA. I was the only girl in my class not wearing jeans. UGH!

West-African Day
Today at school was West-African day as our new inquiry topic. First we found photos and drew them into my book. Then we learned an african dance and watched others performing it. Next we went and made a west-african fruit salad and finally ending the day with making a bracelet(although mine didn't turn out that well).

Hello
Hi
I live on an alpaca farm with my parents in Christchurch. All my life we have owned pets and I couldn't imagine a world without them. When I grow up I hope to be a vet.
